World of Warcraft Forever, the reimagined classic MMORPG, is entering its final stages before launch. The three-week beta test concludes on Friday morning, October 23rd, but not before a stress test is conducted this evening. Following this, Blizzard will open a name reservation period for players who have purchased specific game editions.
The stress test is scheduled for today, October 21st, from 5:00 pm eastern to 9:00 pm eastern. Participation requires a World of Warcraft account, though a subscription is not necessary. This event aims to test server stability and performance in preparation for the upcoming launch.
Name Reservation and Content Rollout
Eligible players who purchased one of the more expensive editions of World of Warcraft Forever will be able to reserve character names starting next week. Name reservations will begin in North America on October 27th at 4:00 pm eastern. During this period, players can create and reserve names for up to three characters across all rulesets.
The full launch of World of Warcraft Forever is set for November 4th. At launch, both existing and new dungeons will become available. Blizzard has confirmed nine new dungeons will be introduced with this version of the game, covering a wide range of character levels. Approximately one month after launch, on December 9th, the first trio of raids will unlock: The Barrow Deeps, Hyjal Summit, and Onyxia’s Lair. Access to Onyxia's Lair will require completing a specific attunement quest chain.
