The Elder Scrolls Online's Season Two, titled "Echoes of Skyrim," is now live across all platforms, including PC/Mac, Xbox, and PlayStation. Running from October 21 until January 27, this season brings new content and features to the base game, with many additions being free for all players. Key highlights include the introduction of solo dungeons and the integration of previously released Chapter and DLC content into the base game.
The season also features a new Tamriel Tome, offering both free and premium reward tracks, and will roll out additional content and player experience improvements throughout its duration.
Skyrim Content Now Free
As of October 21, the Greymoor Chapter has been moved to ESO's base game. This change grants all players free access to the Greymoor zone, its storyline, the Antiquities system, and the Kyne’s Aegis 12-player Trial. Players can now explore Solitude, the underground realm of Blackreach, and engage with the Chapter's narrative without an additional purchase.
Additionally, the Wolfhunter DLC has also been integrated into the base game. The Markarth DLC is scheduled to move to the base game on November 9, completing the Dark Heart of Skyrim saga and providing access to its zone and storyline.
Solo Dungeons and New Rewards
Season Two introduces the game's first two solo dungeons: Moon Hunter Keep and March of Sacrifices. These Hircine-themed dungeons, originally part of the Wolfhunter DLC, now offer solo versions with variable difficulty options and new rewards. This provides a new challenge for players who prefer to adventure alone.
A new Tamriel Tome is also available, allowing players to unlock various items, currencies, and collectibles. This Tome includes free, Premium, and Premium + Bonuses options. The Gold Coast Bazaar reward shop has also been refreshed with returning items that can be acquired using Trade Bars.
Upcoming Features and Events
Throughout Season Two, players can anticipate the return of classic in-game events, starting with the Witches Festival, which is now live. Whitestrake’s Mayhem is scheduled for November, followed by the New Life Festival in December. New Golden Pursuits campaigns, including a Skyrim-themed one in November and a Nowhere Vault-themed one in January, will offer additional rewards.
Player-experience improvements are slated to arrive with Update 52 on January 19, the final week of the season. These improvements include increased home furnishing limits, expanded customization options for Companions' heads and faces, the addition of area-of-effect pulls and taunts, and a new minimap UI option. A new PvP season will also commence at the end of Season Two.
