The Elder Scrolls Online is preparing to introduce a new type of adventure with the upcoming Update 51. Arriving on September 28, this new PvE experience is called the Nowhere Vault. It is designed to challenge players with puzzles and mysteries, offering special rewards upon completion. The Nowhere Vault can be undertaken either solo or with a group.

Described as existing in a space outside Nirn, the Nowhere Vault is not a Daedric plane but rather a plane created by Sage Voernet. According to Jason Barnes, ESO’s Associate Design Director, its purpose is to house rare treasures and artifacts while also testing adventurers Voernet considers worthy of its challenges.

Accessing the Vault

Players can access the trials of the vault using a Nowhere Key. The experience begins when Urli, Sage Voernet's creation and Curator of the Nowhere Vault, summons the player. This summoning occurs after a previous group of adventurers causes a disturbance within the vault. Players are tasked with assisting Urli in restoring the vault and are invited to face Voernet’s challenges to prove their worth.

A central feature of this new activity is the inclusion of puzzle rooms, which players will need to navigate to progress. The announcement highlights the puzzling nature of the Nowhere Vault, emphasizing the mysteries players will need to unravel to succeed.
